Each member is responsible
for his own continuing education and is expected to devote a minimum
of five full days annually to this purpose. This does not include
the Annual Retreat.

Superiors should assist
members by providing appropriate reading materials and supporting
appropriate continuing educational activities. Superiors are obliged to offer all
confreres, particularly those in the first five years of perpetual
vows, special opportunities for exchanging experiences and further
education.

Superiors
are also to participate in courses and conferences with
respect to administration, spiritual leadership and other
relevant topics.

Confreres
of a district are encouraged to meet to discuss questions of
religious life, pastoral work and theology. The date and
themes should be made known to all as early as possible to
give time for adequate preparation.

Each member under the age of
70 is asked to complete an Annual Accountability Statement detailing
how he has fulfilled the Province policy on ongoing education. The
annual statement covers the period of July 1st thru June
30th.

Those over the age of 70 are
only required to submit an Accountability Statement if they have
received Province funding for ongoing education in the previous
fiscal year or plan to apply for funding in the current fiscal year.
